There is just bits and pieces on him seaching in google.My limited info. is that Dr. Stehling, an american rocket pioneer, was a senior science official on the U.S. Vanguard satellite/launch vehicle. An all around genius in developing new launch vehicle concepts and earth satellite applications. He worked on the X-1 and X-2 rocket aeroplanes, and did pioneer rocket engine work at Bell Aircraft Corp. in Buffalo NY 1950-55). I knew about RCA but until I saw a Chuck Rogers image of a truck at LC-18A I never knew the full name was RCAService Company.
